Castor4LIN is the ideal LIN hardware for software download and network diagnostics services. With either USB or RS232 connection, it is very easy to install and maintain. LIN (Local Interconnect Network) is a serial communication system used for distributed electronic systems in vehicles. Examples of applications would be networking within a door or a seat. In automotive applications the multiple local LIN networks are typically connected to the vehicle’s CAN network. Network Communication Castor 4LIN is a LIN-adapter suitable for serial port or plug and play USB. Castor 4LIN is LIN 1.0 and LIN 2.0 compatible. The adapter acts as the physical layer adapter for the host. It takes its operating power from the LIN-connector. Compact dimensions Castor 4LIN is a very compact design that allows for a great deal of freedom when designing component in embedded systems. Castor is used as a diagnostic instrument as well as an embedded component in applications like FMS, Navigation systems, anti-theft systems. Filters Filters can easily be set up on a message and signal level on both the PC side and embedded sides.
