千兆以太網10端口交換機有兩個1000Base-X光纖接口。從而建立連接以太網設備的光纖環和8個銅纜端口，比如機器控制、網絡向上傳輸、控制臺和其他網絡用戶。
可選擇的交換機又有了一個光纖端口（1000Base-X）.MICROSENS 獲得專利的機制可以進行快速恢復。這樣如果出現失敗可以在幾毫秒內重新配置網絡。
